Chicken Pen

This pen has a nesting box with a door at each end. When chickens become broody they will sit on the eggs until they hatch. However the chicks need protecting from the other chickens until they are big enough otherwise the others will attack and kill the chicks. Also the mother and chicks will not be rejected if they are in the same community area as the others. This pen is also used for isolating chickens on medication as you cannot eat their eggs during this period.
